Dear Friends,

On behalf of the faculty and GGSS, we regret to inform you that we are postponing the GGSS Round Table 2020, which was scheduled for this Friday, March 13th, in accordance with yesterday's (March 10th) directive from the UC Davis campus that all gatherings with planned attendances greater than 150 people be canceled or postponed. This action is being taken by campus in the best interest of students, staff, faculty and the community at large in helping contain the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.

We are obviously disappointed for this as we all were looking forward to being together again. It is our hope and intent to reschedule the Round Table for a date in May/June of this year, but such plans will depend on how the outbreak progresses and on further guidance from the campus. We will be in touch with an update as soon as we know more.

We apologize for the belated notice and any inconvenience it may have caused, particularly for those traveling from out of town.

We also recognize that many of you have already sent unrestricted gifts or paid registration fees to provide support for the GGSS and its educational activities. We will be in touch with you to understand how you wish these funds be handled.

We look forward to getting together as soon as conditions permit. In the meantime, we hope that you, your families, and your friends are all well.
