2008 Round Table a Success

The first annual Round Table at UCDavis on April 11th was a huge success.  Over 70 practicing engineers, professors and students participated.  Graduate student presentations and poster sessions as well as a panel session on the research needs of industry allowed for an open dialogue between researchers and practicing engineers.  Feedback has indicated the event was enjoyable and useful to participants.  Download the abstract proceedings here .

Congratulations to the newly elected 2008-2009 GGSS Board Members: Karina Dahl, Frank Farshidi, Arash Khosravifar, Brian Martinez, and Brina Mortensen.  We had a 72% voter participation.  Thank you to all who voted and best of luck to the new board.
 

Professor DeJong Receives Award
